lookdev: bake_tiles.py, because covering the world by panning is 7 hours of panning
48766db by plankatron · 2026-09-03
lookdev: publish .hblk as tiles generate, so browsing IS the bake
4204207 by plankatron · 2026-09-03
stitch: --per-tile, because the tile set is INCOMPLETE and GROWS
5e820ec by plankatron · 2026-09-03
tiles: default the store to user://tile_cache/<seed>, not ~/.cache
0d2c78e by plankatron · 2026-09-03
lookdev: crossfade two conditioning worlds — the only place seeds can blend
f37cafb by plankatron · 2026-09-02
lookdev: CPU tile benchmark, biome survey, biome-continuity probe
12812f7 by plankatron · 2026-09-02
gate_dc_vs_lookdev: read the BLOCK path from the map as well
02810f2 by plankatron · 2026-09-02
lookdev: expose field_half_range, so the harness runs the map's parameters
8f33565 by plankatron · 2026-09-02
compare_reference: key the verdict on slope, not concavity
15e9426 by plankatron · 2026-09-02
gate_dc_vs_lookdev: read the map's parameters instead of keeping a copy
c7e41fb by plankatron · 2026-09-02
lookdev: measure what sets the erosion's depth, and what it follows
d72cb94 by plankatron · 2026-09-02
lookdev: both harness binaries had drifted behind the shared filter
cc23fa7 by plankatron · 2026-09-02
lookdev: the engine-vs-lookdev comparison harness, and the block stitcher
05b8b3a by plankatron · 2026-09-02
lookdev 3D: raymarched view — shared albedo, and a lighting mismatch I did not solve
34cc1f2 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
lookdev 3D: curvature is the third attribute — altitude and slope alone are monotone
a211995 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
lookdev 3D: sun, cast shadows, and material by slope and altitude
706f155 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
lookdev: diffusion alone vs diffusion+erosion, and erosion sized by depth:width
f0987a9 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
explore: verify coarse and detail agree in colour, and fix a thin-region crash
6295708 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
explore: hypsometric tint and vertical exaggeration — the seafloor was legible all along
ab79d96 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
explore: the PLAYER is the origin of generation, not the viewport
1111fba by plankatron · 2026-08-31
optimisation: ONNX decoder shim — numerically perfect, and no faster
3856aad by plankatron · 2026-08-31
optimisation: decoder_tile_size was never broken — I changed half of a pair
876cbd2 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
optimisation: autocast fp16 is the first lever that is both correct and faster
25a4701 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
explore: terrain-class overview — the world already has the range, it had no way to be found
7ebf9c0 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
explore: coarse-stage backdrop for zoomed-out navigation
b2dfe5c by plankatron · 2026-08-31
explore: the tiles were laid out transposed — InfiniteDiffusion was never at fault
89eefa1 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
explore: cap the queue, and shade an apron so tiles join cleanly
4005584 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
explore: a separate page for moving around the infinite heightmap
9cabe77 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
lookdev: test one config at a time against a strict gate — the 14x had no merit
9822add by plankatron · 2026-08-31
lookdev: never cache index.html
caba524 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
lookdev: the seed field could change the world by accident
c79ca8f by plankatron · 2026-08-31
lookdev: diffusion throughput matrix — 14x faster, 3.6x less VRAM
e6454b7 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
lookdev: the erosion band was sitting on top of the model, not under it
e3a8e36 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
lookdev: run the erosion filter ON the diffusion field
250f462 by plankatron · 2026-08-31
lookdev: show the metres each knob actually produces, and add the diffusion seed
0f442dc by plankatron · 2026-08-31
lookdev: 18 more knobs, including the input-feature-size control the engine cannot reach
5d768ee by plankatron · 2026-08-31
terrain-lookdev: the instrument #46 §4 said the decision was waiting on
