# hyperident-shell

A P2P shell keyed by your [hyperident](../hyperident) device identity. **The shell address is
your device pubkey** — there is no host, no port and no account.

Bare-native, and runs on Node too.

## Install

```sh
pgh app install hyperident-shell
```

## Usage

```sh
hyperident-shell id # your device pubkey — this is the address others dial
hyperident-shell serve # accept connections on it
hyperident-shell <pubkey> # connect
hyperident-shell <pubkey> -- ls -l # run one command and exit
```

Names are local aliases, not a namespace:

```sh
hyperident-shell add-name celltron <pubkey>
hyperident-shell names
hyperident-shell celltron # resolves via the local names store, else treats it as a pubkey
```

## The firewall is deny-by-default

```sh
hyperident-shell serve --firewall ~/.hyperident-shell/allowed
hyperident-shell serve --disable-firewall
```

The firewall file is one key per line (z-base32 or hex), `#` for comments. **A missing file
means an empty allow-list, which denies everyone** — a typo in the path fails closed rather
than open. `--disable-firewall` is the explicit way to accept anyone, and it has to be asked
for by name.

## Storage

```
~/.hyperident-shell/config.json
~/.hyperident-shell/registry-store/
~/.hyperident-shell/registry-host-store/
```

## Commands
