0.3.89: a version the registry does not already hold
The registry's latest is 0.3.88 and package.json said 0.3.88, so a push would have republished 0.3.88 with different content — the README corrections and the strip-vectors removal. ci.yaml passes --accept-conflict, so that would have succeeded silently and left two different trees under one version number.
